What Is AI Hazard Identification?

AI hazard identification uses computer vision to spot hazards in a jobsite photo, then scores each hazard and suggests controls. In Field1st, a worker adds a photo to any form, and HazardID highlights the hazards with bounding boxes, rates severity and likelihood, and plots them on a risk matrix for the worker to review.

It's the difference between hoping a tired crew notices every hazard and giving them a second set of eyes that never gets complacent. HazardID doesn't replace the worker's judgment; it makes a thorough hazard analysis fast enough that crews actually complete one.

For each hazard, HazardID assigns a severity (insignificant to catastrophic) and a likelihood (rare to almost certain), then plots it on a likelihood-versus-severity heat map. When a worker confirms a higher-order control, the likelihood drops and the risk score recalculates — so the crew can see, before work starts, whether risk has actually been reduced.
